Yikes, sorry to hear you were displaced after Katrina. You certainly have my sympathy. I live in South Florida, so I’ve experienced my share of hurricanes, too. And I’m with you on the inane names they give these storms. They need to come up with a better system.

I am just sitting here listening to the news and am with you on the naming of the storm. (I keep thinking of Parton when I hear it.)

Just yesterday we had 50mph winds blow through our little town. (No where near the coast, mind you.) Had a few small limbs down, and a couple of chickens got their feathers ruffled. I am glad for the temp drop, however. Nothing like going from 102 to 86 in a matter of two hours. It’s almost autumn around here. Almost. ;D
