Ok. I’m an old curmudgeon, but these challenges can be sort of fun. Time to throw my addition onto the pile.

Challenge name: Use Your Senses

Rules: Incorporate as many senses as you can into descriptions in a single ficlet.

The twist: Nearly everyone knows the five basic senses – sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch. Frankly, I expect these to be included in entries. But can you also work in senses of – balance, acceleration, temperature, pain, and kinesthetic (i.e., information on the relative positions of the parts of the body; thanks, Wikipedia)?

And after all that, will your ficlet still make sense and tell a story?

Duration: Let’s give it two weeks.

Judging criteria: Quality of incorporation of the senses into the narrative, number incorporated, my whims.
