Lost Causes and Dead Ends

As the fog settled in on the rapidly setting sun, the forest began to get a chill. There was no escape. The only thing she could do was to hide from the creature. If it couldn’t sniff her out it would never be able to find her. She darted off to the creek near by. Maybe it would lose her sent in the water.
She took off into the creek she could hear the creature searching for her sent. The creature was hopeless and confused, it had lost her sent. It desperately searched for a whiff of her sent but there was none. “Yes!â€? she thought silently in her head. She slowly started to crawl out of the creek. She was soaked but she had been able to escape alive and safely. The only problem left is where she was!
She searched around blindly, stranded in the forest at night with out any light source other then the full moon that was rising above her head. If she waited till dawn the creature could pick up her sent and attack again. There was nothing left to do. She took out her cell phone and dialed a number.
