This wasn’t just any guy and it wasn’t Jack either. This guy was gorgeous. His hair was black and almost shiny-like. The eyes that stared at me where a breath-taking sea green. And his face, his features looked like they were carved out of stone, perfect in everyway. “This is James.â? Trey told me quietly.
“Hey. What’s your name?â? he asked me. His voice was … indescribable and mystifying.
“It’s Kit. Hi.â? I continued to stare at him and he matched my glance. Finally, I had to look away.
“So Trey, are you sure about this?â? James asked. Huh? Sure about what?
“Didn’t have a choice. So, whatever.â? Trey mumbled.
“What are you guys talking about?â? I interrupted. Being left out gets me pissed off.
James clapped a hand down on Trey and laughed. “This here is my—”he stopped when Trey gave him a look. A look I didn’t miss too. “This is my good friend, Trey. You see, Trey here owes me … a bit of a favor.â?
“What kind of favor?â? Now I wasn’t just pissed, now I was annoyed.
