The car.
I fumbled with the key as I tried to slide it into the ignition.
My hands were shaking far too violently.
He ran over to my car, away from everyone else.
He shook my shoulders.
“Hey, what did I do?”
He asked concerned.
I just shook my head.
Brittanie was eyeing us from where she was in the parking lot.
“What?”
“I wouldnt have come if I knew you were just using me so your friend wouldnt be dateless.”
I said with a wounded ego.
He pulled his eyebrows together.
“Thats not the only reason, I also wanted you to meet Brittanie.”
He said with a hopeful smile.
“Why? Did you think me and her becoming friends would make this any easier for me?”
I barked.
“I’m sorry.”
He said, but I could tell he didnt mean it, because he was looking at her.
I wiped away the tear before he noticed.
“Thanks anyway Christian, but I better go.”
I got the door open, and slammed it.
He walked away, and instead of pulling out I slammed my head into the steering weel, and let the pain take over.
