Perfect end
We were running, faster than I thought possible. I could feel the wind streaming past me and that spurred me on even further. I was letting my bad days out in the furious run I had just now broken into. He was laughing with me, challenging me to a race. I ran even faster, egging him on…
And then, all of a sudden we collapsed into a heap on the grass, laughing and giggling we sat up.
I looked at him and he looked at me. We just sat staring until I got the giggles. He smiled and his eyes suddenly were filled with a burning fire. He leaned in and kissed me, the sweetest thing ever. Then he moved his mouth to whisper in my ear – he told me that he loved me, and that he had for a long time.
I was shocked, but pleased. Pleased that he felt the same way that I did and that he wasn’t afraid to show it.
Millions of raindrops fell from the sky…Happy to see me happy I suppose…
It was the perfect end to a bad day…
