write a sequel. thsi story has a good background, but it’s not very developed into a “beginning, middle, and end” kind of story.

Yikes, I thought that it was going to be a happy memory. Very heartbreaking, all the regret and a touch of self-recrimination. And obviously madwriter has not picked up on your M.O.; as far as I’ve seen you don’t sequel your own stuff.
