Mr. Right
She walked into her apartment and checked messages after a long day of work. “Hey it’s Pete. There is this guy that I want you me meet, I think that you two would hit it off really well. Give me a call later so that I can set it up. I’ll talk to you later.”
She deleted the message, headed back the hall, and got a bath, A pity date is that what I am becoming? I must be missing a step Pete is married with 3 kids and so is Ashley. Well my Mr. Right will come along when he is ready just like he did for them.
The next morning Pete came stomping in to her room. “You never called me back last night and don’t give me any of that crap that you feel asleep right when you got home. I know you remember. So what do you have to say for yourself?”
“I want my key back.” She sat up in her bed and looked at him. With her heavy sigh she said, “I don’t want a pity date. My Mr. Right will come along when he is ready and when I am ready.”
“I know you’re ready. That’s why you don’t come to the house. I see it in your face.”
