A So Called Perfect World
“Actually, that’s not the reaction we were hoping for,” the brave one replied.
“If we don’t do something,” Another one said, “Every one on Earth will die!”
“Not necessarily,” Paul replied, “As you all know, a few months ago, I passed a law that said that all families had to have a rocket equipped with solar powered engines so that in case of a disaster everyone could flee.”
The advisors looked around nervously as they had done before. Then one spoke up. “Actually,” she began, “About a month ago, the vice president passed a law that ordered all of those rockets to be confiscated to help the military.”
Maybe this world wasn’t as perfect as I had thought after all, Paul thought happily. Then something crossed his mind. “Why wasn’t I informed of this?”
“Well it’s a funny story actually…” The advisor answered, “The Vice President told us not to tell you.”
“What?” Paul shouted.
“It’s not like this is the first thing we haven’t told you,” a foolish one said.
“Excuse me?”
