Ficlets

March 19

Last night I tied Catherine’s leg to mine as I did before. She tried to get out of bed at least three times. She isn’t conscious enough to try untying the ropes, which is probably the only reason I woke up. When I lay her back down, she goes back to sleep, or what is passing as sleep for her.

I’ve been so incredibly tired with all the stress of loosing David and Catherine in a catatonic state then in a haunted state trying to leave the house. When she was catatonic, I could feed her by putting a little food in her mouth. She would chew it and swallow almost as a reflex action. Now, she doesn’t. I don’t know how to feed her.

It started raining a little while ago. I’m going to put out the rain barrels to catch some rain so we have fresh water at the house. Hopefully, the rain will wash away the fog. It’s been over a week of constant fog.

The rain has been coming down pretty hard for a couple hours now. The fog is as thick as ever! It’s like a stain on the world. No amount of wind or rain will carry it away.
