Like Snails Love Trematodes{Starbucks Challenge}

It was a slow day and I was working the register. Which, I really didn’t mind unless-

“That’s right, stand there and look pretty for them, Abby,” a voice whispered into my ear.

I rolled my eyes.

“Shut up, Pasha. Go back to your cappuccinos.”

Pasha smirked, his green eyes glinting even in the dim lighting. He twirled a grande sized cup in his hand before quickly and expertly filling it with my last customer’s order. He never dropped his gaze. “Grande toffee nut latte for Linda!” he called, his eyes still locked on me.

The woman left and now the place was empty, which was unusual for Starbucks. I narrowed my eyes at him and he laughed. “Jealous, Abigail?”

“Of what?” I snorted. “You need to get a life, Posh!”

But before Pasha and I could really get into it, Dani walked in. She looked back and forth between me and Pasha as she tied her apron. Pasha turned away from me, no doubt to do some sort of barista stuff.

“I think he likes you,” whispered Dani.

“Yeah, like snails love trematodes…” I muttered.
