And So I Sang...[[Dream Challenge]]

I was so nervous I thought I was going to need another puond of antiperspirant applied to my underarms. But, unfortunately, I didn’t have the time. “Alexa! Alexa! Where the—” I stood up quickly, “I’m right here!” Jason, the director shook his head at me like I was a young child (which, compared to him, I was). “You need to be on the stage, ready to perform! Gosh, Alexa, hurry!”

I ran (or if you want to call it skipping, you’re free to do so) to the center of the stage. Shawn and Lilly were to my left and right. I could hear Jason shouting at people, and I could here Sarah complaining that her shoes didn’t fit. “But,” Jason countered, “you said they fit two days ago!” I stifled a giggle. I looked over at Lilly, she gave me a comforting, everything-will-be-alright wink.

Then I heard it, that noise I had became so familiar with throughout all the rehearsals. And I looked up just in time to see the curtains being drawn.

And so I sang…

...on Broadway.
