Until Death Do Us Part{Dream Challenge}

“C’mon, Tom!” I yelled, laughter in my voice. The wet sand beneath my toes felt perfect, undisturbed from years of going unknown.

My hair blew about in the breeze, the smell of salt strong on its wings. I grinned, twirling with my arms open wide. Faster and faster I spun, the colors of sea, sand and sky blurring together. Suddenly, I couldn’t see the streak of color that was Tom. Halting mid-twirl, I dizzily scanned the beach.

“Oof!” I gasped as Tom’s very solid body tackled me to the ground. “Tom, would you mind removing yourself from me?” I asked, frowning up at him.

“Nah. You’re pretty comfy, Rae. I think I’ll stay here.”

I pouted.

“That’s it!” he cried. “You are too cute for the world, and therefore too cute for me to resist!”

But before I could protest, Tom’s lips connected with mine. I leaned up into him, feeling him smile through the kiss. Our kiss only lasted a moment, but that moment was perfect.

Tom was mine. And we had until death did us part to create more moments like these.
