Il Ombra
It had been a particularly tough job. “Knuckles” Lorenzetti was due in court in two weeks and had hired some muscle to try and keep himself alive until then. Little did Knuckles know that the Greco brothers had his number.
Il Ombra they called him: the Shadow. He gunned down Knuckles and all of his hired hands without so much as a whisper.
The zeal with which Il Ombra executed his duties grated on the nerves of the other members of the Greco organization. I mean, why should they have gone to an outsider for this job? Any of the trigger men in the family would have been happy to take out Lorenzetti.
But the Grecos and in particular the eldest, Giancarlo Vito, wanted this job done right. What knuckles knew could have brought down the whole operation.
And so in came Il Ombra. It was said that he cried after every kill, and it was true.
Did he cry for his victim? Did he weep with joy at the perfection of his art? Many guessed at his true motivation but only Il Ombra knew: he cried for his daughter.
