Feels Like Home
Whenever I come to see you, it feels like home. How this house is always so welcoming. How you always wait for me at the doorway, with arms wide open for a hug. How safe I feel in your arms. How much I know you love me.
People may ask what’s so special about “this house” and “these people”. Well, you might not be able to understand. Being eaten alive by mosquitoes isn’t so annoying at this house. The low rumble of thunder but the quick flashes of lightning don’t bother me at all. The frogs and the cascades, the deer and the birds are like an ex-tended family in my eyes.
This house feels like home. With the smiles and laughs we all have shared. With the tears and the sorrow we’ve all been through. We all come together at this one place. And we all come together as one. One whole family. And we love it here.
Whenever I need to get away, I will come here. Whenever I need an ever-lasting hug, I’ll come here. When ever I need family to make me feel at home, I’ll come here.
And it feels just like home…
