Jack knew exactly where to find Lance. The daycare was basically at the end of Tallyford except for maybe two or three old hotels to the left of it. One of those hotels, being the one that Anna & Jack & Taylor stayed at.
Jack found himself running as soon as he stepped outside.

He didn’t take a bus because he felt like it wouldn’t be fast enough. Within seconds he felt his legs go numb. Something that usually happens on your last lap of a mile. But Jack was running so furiously he was able to run even faster because he couldn’t feel the pain that burned his legs.

He reached the hotel faster than he should have. Breathing suddenly seemed like a problem, but he didn’t stop. He flew up the stairs & down the hall till he got to his door. It was unlocked.

Jack slowly pushed it open.

All the drawers were open and had been looked through. The bed sheets were thrown all over the place. Lance had trashed & searched the room.

Jack saw a shadow on the bathroom door.
