“I have to admit, she made it all the easier for me. Apparently she jumped over the wall instead of coming through the gate. That’s why the security guard didn’t see her.”

“What now? Do you want to take out your revenge or something?” I asked.

“More than that, I want you to join me.”

My face must have given me away. Heather may have been the cause of my misery for five years, but I would not go down to her level. But it was too tempting.

“Then what do you say we do?”

Nathan didn’t say anything but pointed to a rope lying to the corner of the room. Then he looked up, to the roof of the building. My eyes went wide. I had imagined maybe a harmless prank. Something that would damage her ego. But I could see he’d gone crazy. I decided to find a way to save Heather.

“Alright. So we’ll tie the rope to one of the metal bars in the railings. We’ll tie the rope around her neck and push her off.”

“You’re catching on quite well. I’ll go set up the rope.” he said. This is what I’d hoped for.I’d be alone with her.
