Thunder Part Two
My brother and my dad had already arrived at the resort about an hour before us thanks to the help of us driving mistakenly into Wyoming for about five minutes. There’s a Christmas story for you.
I dropped my bags all onto the floor beside the bed by the window.
I pushed the window up and let the breeze flow through the screen. I heard muffled cries of some of the boys that had already arrived or that were just arriving. A couple of the boys wouldn’t even be there until the next morning. I guess it was just as well, though, so that I could get some peace and quiet after that 16 hour car drive. Good Lord.
My brother and his friends would probably drop within the hour, too, though considering the fact that they also had just endured a 16 hour car drive from California to Colorado.
I took this all in and fell onto my bed comfortably. Ah, peace and quiet at last.
BOOM !
