Moving Out

November 6, 2010
Two years ago, Americans were on the edge of their seats. Today, they’re getting out of those seats as fast as they can, and getting as far away as they can from the country. The following chapters and texts are memoirs of what I experienced in those tumultuous times.

Chapter 1: November 4, 2008
Breaking News: The new president has been elected! The nation was in a torrent of mixed feelings, I for one couldn’t care less about who the next president was. I wanted to move from this country as soon as I graduated high school. I wasn’t a bad student, and I loved my family and friends, but I just didn’t like the way we worked in America. My mind was set on moving to Europe. But anyway, as I said, the Nation was having very mixed feelings. Was I was sitting down eating dinner and watching the news, I got a phone call from the school saying that all school classes and functions were canceled until further notice. Everyone at the dinner table looked at each other in a confused fashion.
