Moving Out Part 3

I couldn’t get to sleep…. nor could I think straight, for I was fearful of what was going to happen in the coming days.

November 6, 2008
“Get up!” I heard my mom say, “Now, we’re leaving in 10 minutes.”
I walked downstairs, and I saw everyone in my family standing there. They were all quarreling over where we should go. Then they all noticed me as I walked into the room. Everyone looked delighted to see me, but with an underlying sorrow because of everything. Then the quarreling began again. No one seemed to notice me slip outside for a moment. When I came back in, I brandished the piece of paper I printed out the previous night.
“This is where we should go.” I stated.
My grandfather observed it, “That’s insane Patrick, why should we go there?”
“Because-”
My step dad cut me off, “Let me see it”
He took a moment to look over it and said something so unexpected I nearly flew through the ceiling.
“Pat’s right,” He said, “this idea is the best I’ve heard so far, and these directions look accurate.”
