Elementary, Dear Madison pt.1 (Deduction Challenge)
I recieved a call this morning from a young woman who seemed to be in hysterics.
Ring ring… ring ring… ring-
“Hello, Eli Johnson here.”
“Hello, Mr. Johnson, this is Madison Kenedi. I know you don’t usually do investigations, but my friend recommended you, and frankly, I’m desperate.”
“Alright ma’am, what’s the problem.”
“Well, you see, my husband has been… gone a lot lately and… I’d like to know if he’s been cheating on me.”
“Hmm, well, can I come over to talk to you? It might be better if you explained in person.”
“Certainly. You can come over now.”
“I’ll be there in a minute, then. May I have your address?”
She gave me it, and urged me to hurry.
“Goodbye, Mrs. Kenedi.”
“Goodbye.”
As I drove over, I couldn’t help but wonder why she would hire me, a man, to work for her. Logically, a woman would be the better choice, as she might know more on the subject than I. Mrs. Kenedi surely must have some sort of reason for her choice.
