The Choice Of Love
I stared at James for the longest time. I stared, contemplating my choices. And they were not easy decisions to make.
The one thing for sure was that I no longer had Stephen as a choice. Still, there was James the jerk and Johnny the random waiter to choose between.
James, I know him but I’m not sure if I like the guy I know. I mean, he’s a druggie and a jerk most of the time. He’s pushy and obnoxious but when I’m with him, I just feel … different. I feel like I can be anyone I want to just because he’s there. Is that love? Does that mean I love him the way he loves me?
And with Johnny, the possibilities are endless. All I know is that he’s one to flirt and they all are. He could turn out to be a James-clone or he could be like Stephan. Or he could even become some type of guy I haven’t dealt with yet.
So, it’s my time to decide on what I want. Decide on who I want.
Think … think … think …
Think … think … think …
And then, quieter than the softest footstep, I whispered, “I love you too.â?
