happening to me? I reached over to my left side, and flicked on my lamp, keeping one hand on my back. I attempted to struggle out from under my sheets and onto my feet. I was in massive pain no matter what I did, so I tried to make my steps quick.
I made it close enough to my full-length mirror to see myself in the lamp’s faint glow. I was pretty sure I didn’t want to see the damage behind me, but I had to look.
With some extra effort, I slowly turned my body around, my back facing the mirror. I took a deep, heavy breath and turned my neck so my head could see my backside.
It was bad. It was really bad.I couldn’t see my actual skin, because of my t-shirt, but my back was uneven. The top of it had something sticking out. I tried to pull of my shirt to see. Bad move.
What was sticking out seemed like bone. Which ones? It had ripped through my skin, blood surrounding the damage, not to mention on my shirt as well. I put my shirt over my torso and
