Nathaniel
The doctor put on his white over shirt to make himself look a bit more presentable, and right on queue, another knock was heard.
“Come in.” he said, sitting down in his comfy chair.
The door opened, and a boy no older than 16 stepped through the entrance. He didn’t bother to look at the doctor, only going straight towards the patient bed and sitting down on the edge. He hadn’t bothered to close the door, and his back was to the doctor.
The doctor sighed and got up to close the door.
“So… I can see that you’re not too excited about being here.”
The boy didn’t respond. Not even a slight movement, and for a few seconds the doctor wondered if he’d fallen asleep.
“You have a name?”
The boy shook his head.
“It doesn’t matter…”
Dr. Telesfore nodded, seeing the boy wasn’t in the mood for prodding.
“Ok then, I’ll call you.. Nathaniel. No.. Nate. Yes, I’ll call you Nate. Is that alright with you?”
“I like Nathaniel better.” the boy replied in an apathetic tone.
