I Are Rockstar! {AIM Challenge}
I blew on my gloved hands, glaring up at Jeph. She smiled innocently down at me. At 5’8” Jeph had almost half a foot on me, and she used it to her advantage.
“Give me my keys, Jeph!”
“No! We’re waiting for the band!”
Jeph was in love with this new indie band, Alliteration. They were pretty good, and under normal circumstances I’d be psyched to meet them. But it was freaking cold!
“Paradox Pavilion…” she sighed. I snorted, remembering that they’d all come up with those stupid stage names. The door to the back of the club opened and out they walked… Krazy Kragen, Molluscididal Mayhem, Avian Anarchy, and of course Paradox Pavilion. Tall, skinny, pale; exactly the kind of indie boy Jeph likes.
Some time later I found myself with Mr. Anarchy’s number and staring at the place on Jeph’s stomach where Mr. Pavilion had signed.
“He spelled ‘Pavilion’ wrong!” I laughed, pointing to the messy “Paradox Pavillion” scrawled across her belly.
“He’s a rockstar!” she protested. “He doesn’t need to be literate!”
