Kathy's View

This is a sequel to my previous story, What ever happened to Kathy?

Kathy already knew she was going to be home late before she left Marsha’s house. He stomach was killing her- a late reminder of the bad food she had eaten a day before. As she waved goodbye to Marsha and slipped on the hood to her raincoat she thought to herself. I guess I could call my parents when I get to the diner. They won’t mind if I stopped for a snack. It’s raining anyway…

The road was wet and slippery and Kathy’s bag was weighing her down. She sped through a puddle, coating her bike and herself in a new layer of wet grime. She was sure she was coming up to the diner. She’d been riding for what seemed like hours… but it was only a few minutes, right? Kathy squinted ahead, trying to find some mark of where she was. Houses sped by, none of them familiar.

It was all a blur when it happened. Kathy spun away from the oncoming car, her bike slipping out from under her. Her head hitting the pavement. Darkness.
