Chloe was confident when she walked up with a smile on her face toward Jay. He was just locking the car as he saw her. “Hey.â€? He returned her warm smile with a breath-taking one.

“Hi.â€? Chloe whispered. She lost her confidence in seconds.

“I know you. You’re um, Chloe? Right?â€?

“Yeah, hi.â€?

“I’m Jay.â€? He said. Thank you, Captain Obvious.

“Yeah, I know. I mean, hey. What’s … what’s up?â€?

“Nothing really. I was just thinking about walking you to class.â€? Jay said. Is this some kind of dream? Chloe thought, blushing a little. She had to keep her cool now that she was close to a whole conversation with hot Jay. That should so be his name. Hot Jay. Hot Jay. Her Jay. Well, soon enough he’ll be hers.

“Sure.â€? They started off into the school together, chatting nicely. Nothing seemed to be really clicking though. Nothing seemed like it was meant to be yet.

Hopefully, that feeling won’t last long though.
