That Moment
The moment felt like it was approaching. You know, like in the movies when the guy leans over and kisses the girl. And despite the first-date jitters, she kisses him back and they fall in love.
Yeah. I felt that moment coming.
Spencer started to lean slowly toward me, closing his eyes. And I tilted away, rejecting him. He sighed loudly and whispered, “Why? Why? Why won’t you talk to me? Why won’t you kiss me?â? Never thought I’d hear those words from a guy.
Well, I did want to kiss him but I knew it wouldn’t be right. It doesn’t make sense that the hottest guy in school wants to kiss me. But I grabbed his face and kissed him passionately, of course.
When we pulled away, Spencer looked sad. “I bet you only kissed me so you wouldn’t have to talk to me.â? He whispered and I shook my head fast. “Then talk. I know there is more to you than meets the eye, Grace. You are very deep. I am drowning in your waters, Grace and I want to know how to get to you. Will you please tell me why you won’t speak?â?
