The fact is: Propp tells us that breaking down every story to its basic, you get the same words, the same facts. Lots of princes marry their princesses, lots of detectives find the culprit, and so on. Avoid plagiarism doesn’t mean avoid using wisely structures… or you’ll get the snappy comeback of your Muse as a reply
