second sight
ive stolen diamonds from angels hearts
and used their tears to chill cheap wine
laughed loud in the face of my absolutions
somehow it seemed to pacify my mind
i wouldnt take the time to look to heaven
as i walked a tightrope over hell
my old man was so drunk and mean
so i chose to chase that lonesome trail
those roads seemed to wind to nowheres
i was thinking nowhere is what i need
where i drank so heavy of desire
and in my passions ild fully feed
i loved to feel her body there beside me
she knew i feared the quiet of the night
she said ive watched you burn so many bridges
i said yea but dont it make a pretty light
she gave love that taught me why God made heaven
its strange to feel ive got something i cant lose
and i just wonder if its time or her conviction
thats changed my point of view
