Three Shows In Denver

I can play the guitar as well as anyone. People tell me I’ve changed their lives. Children are named after me. Honestly though, only my sisters kid that I know of, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there aren’t a few more out there.

Tonight was a good night, I had the touch, I could do whatever I wanted, I could reach back and get more if I needed it, but I didn’t. Faces don’t lie, and the ones I saw tonight said “Please don’t ever let this end”. When I played some stuff from the new record, I was sure surprised how many people knew the lyrics. Most of the people I saw singing along had been at last night’s show, a couple of them work for the label, they’re pretty good to me. Nights like that make you feel invincible, I’ve had a few in my day, probably have some more before I hang my axe up for good.

The headliner stopped in backstage, just before I went on, thought it was the men’s room. I asked him if he had a chance to listen to my new record, he said he wasn’t sure, but I think he has.
