The Little Unknown Baseball Player Pt.2
I had known from the first moment I had received the bat what I had to do. I ran right to the local baseball field with my friends, we spent that day hitting runs left and right as I remember. I had hit the most out of my friends. I took the ball we used to hit with home. I felt like it had some sort of luck to me, I made sure to frame it with whatever I could find.
The summer came to an end the fields had frozen over with the winter’s skies. I had to wait for another year for the summer to come and let the field’s blossom in the heat.
As the year went by my hopes and dreams to be a ball player had drifted well off into the distance. I didn’t stop playing sports but my mind was on the local girl’s in school.
I was a football player more then a baseball player.
My football career lasted for almost a year till I had broken my right leg. I had felt my sports dream coming to a close.
