A Problem?
“Oh my god, I have so much to tell you!” I said to my parents.
“Yeah, we’ve been having the time of our lives!” Wesley chimed in.
My mom kept her eyes on Wes, her face emotionless. Wesley noticed my mother’s accusing look, and quickly changed the subject. “The plan was to drive back to the hotel, and then I was going to join Joe and Nick for Christmas shopping.”
“Sounds good to me!” my father smiled.
The car ride was filled mostly with Wes and I telling everything. Kevin barely got a word in, and my parents just listened.
The taxi dropped Kevin, my parents, and I off at the hotel.
“Why didn’t you want to go shopping?” I asked Kevin as we walked inside.
“Eh, I’m just really tired,” he replied.
Once in our hotel room, I noticed my mom still looked a bit angry.
I looked at her curiously, “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” she frowned, “so…are you and that Wesley girl best friends now?”
Why is she acting this way ?
“Do you have a problem with Wes?”
