The Land of Dreams: Part Two
I leave our small hideout, still shaken by my run in with the Giant in Compton. I head for the cabin, slightly angry at the Prince for a a reason I can’t remember.
Upon reaching the cabin, I open the door and enter the compartment of a train. There sit the the daughters of the new king. There are four: The Old One, The Fair One, The Baby, and Alexis Bledel. We watch Rolie Polie Olie.
The Old One looks at me.
“Our father will be home soon. You should leave before he finds you here.”
I leave, but find the Prince under the tree in the front yard, eyes closed. I pull on his arm.
“Get up! The King is coming…He’ll kill you!”
He shrugs.
I watch him for a moment, something I’ve only ever felt in these sort of dreams stirring in my belly. The Prince looks so serene…he’s perfect. I lean down and press a kiss to his cheek, the shape of my lips now outlined in pink lipgloss on his cheek.
Now he’s awake. But I’m still mad at him and I run away and become a duck again so I can float back down the pink river.
