Kleenex [Best Friend Challenge]
We look a lot alike. In fact, we often get confused as sisters.
Our tastes in men are similar, we find the same things funny. Our spiritual beliefs, political thoughts and list of things that annoy us line up almost perfectly. We work with each other at the same company.
She is the best person to party with, my favorite shoulder to lean on and the person who taught me to “forgive but never forget.”
We have made each other laugh when crying would have been more appropriate but, also, we have cried together and handed each other tissues.
Men have come and gone, friends have come and gone, pets and loved ones have passed away. Jobs have been started, jobs have been quit. Cars have sputtered and choked to a stop. Afternoons have been spent at the repair shop.
Through it all – every up and every down, we have been there for each other.
We are the true epitome of the term “best friends.”
She is my mother and the single most loving, dependable person I have ever encountered. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
