Another six word memoir challenge, except harder…

My entry to that challenge was the first ficlet I ever wrote, so I am most definitely going to enter! Awesome idea!

ok. i think i got it wrong. i think he had to write a story. but i still had to write my life so the challenge remains the same. i just dont wanna get called out for having that bit of info wrong. :)

For some reason, 2008 has been the year of the six word memoir. Time Out New York has hosted a 6WM contest, as have a number of other publications, and I’ve seen them pop up here on more than one occasion this year. I just wonder why it’s suddenly become so fashionable. Hemingway did it years ago, but it didn’t really catch on until ‘08.

It’s a nice glimpse into a writer, and into yourself (if you’re the one doing the writing).
But, sheesh! I didn’t count, but there are a ton of these! Bravo!

I can’t believe how many people sequeled this! thank you to everyone. I’m trying to read them all and so far, as expected from ficlet writers, they’re great! :D

I didn’t like the memoir I wrote last time (though I’m fond of the short story), so I think I’ll enter this one too.
