All or Nothing

I was sitting by my usual spot; namely, in the library, sitting behind the longest table – it overlooked the small beach, and was next to my favorite stack of books.

I was concentrating on my plan for tonight.

I was sure of it – I was going to leave his place – completely, leave it behind, erase it from my memory and take of – somewhere else.

I don’t know where I’m going to go, but I do know with what means I will escape.

The guards take two shifts, and alternate, giving me a five minute window.

Not much, but I will manage.

If all else fails, I’ll do the unthinkable and incinerate the place.

My thoughts were brought back to the present by the crashing of the tide, the sound heightened by my sensitive hearing.

The night was already starting to fall.

I arose from my place, patting the book I was reading (Sciences of the Kingdom Animalia) and I went back to my room.

I started to hatch my plans upon my large bed, set on leaving tonight.

It’s now or never, all or nothing.
