A little note from Punkin:

In “real” life I am a Speech Language Pathologist. I work with a variety of students with speech and language issues. Examples being students who can’t say thier r’s or others who can’t sequence the order of a story. My job is to enrich there vocabulary and encourage them to use language. I’d also like them to love reading and writing. (Which is also part of my job.)

This summer I experimented with my youngest son and ficlet’s and discovered, this website would be a very useful tool for my student’s.

So I am starting a series of ficlet’s written by my students. In fact I have one already. She had a great time writing the ficlet and worked so hard during our session, because she wanted to write a story about horses. Being that some of my students can be hard to motivate, it was encouraging to see her work so hard and have so much fun at the end.

So just an FYI ! Student writers at work. Be kind thier still learning.
