Toddler Overalls & Attempted Murder Conversations
After getting checked in the hotel & the key, Anna started unpacking their clothes & organizing them in the drawers.
Once she got done, she turned off the TV Taylor was watching, “C’mon baby, let’s go get something to eat.”
Sitting across from each other in a booth at McDonald’s, Anna noticed that Taylor hadn’t said a word all day.
“Taylor, baby I-” she was trying to figure how to word it for an innocent 4 year old, “I know what you saw was, scary. Baby I am so sorry you had to see that and-” she stopped.
Taylor, to her, looked too small to be having this conversation with. His tiny little body in his blue overalls, with a half eaten french fry still in his hand. She suddenly was overwhelmed with guilt for bringing this kind of life upon him. But she refused to cry infront of her son. She breathed & continued.
“I know it’s hard to go on like everything’s normal after seeing that. But baby mama loves you, and is going to do everything she can to protect you. I love you Taylor, so much.”
