Elfish dreams part: 19

“Yes, when Ellyza disguised me as an elf totell her parents that she wanted to marry me.”

I thought about that for a moment.

“What’s it like?”

“It’s beautiful,” he said, his eyes faraway again, “like a place in dreams. It’s full of flowers, trees and creatures that you’ve never seen before. Rainbows sparkle in the air and sweet scents of the flowers are intoxicating. So beautiful…”

I let him drift in his own trail of thoughts for a while.

“So my mother was an elf…” I pondered about that. I wasn’t sure how I felt.

Ellhan came back to the present. “A crown princess, possibly Queen now.” He nodded.

“And what about you?”

He seemed taken aback. “Me?”

“Where were you from?”

He bowed his head. “A place called Sydney, in Australia.”

He looked up, his eyebrows furrowed. “The very place those humans have come from.” He grunted.

“How do you know?” I asked.

“Recognised their flag. I overheard them talking about it.” He sighed and rubbed his eyes.

“We should get some sleep.”
