Thank the Lord for Football

The world was becoming bleak and miserable. Sadness rained throughout the United States of America, tears flooding from the eyes of all Americans ( TRUE Americans that is.

But, then on a bright Sept. 7 Sunday (not counting teh Thursday game), the NFL season began. Bursting through the solid black wall of death like a red-white-and-blue dump truck of justice.

Cheers arose from the depths of American homes as televisions were flipped to all football channels. This was the day. Jerseys of all colors and sizes were donned by men, women, and children alike.

Fans watched the Jets and the Dolphins, hating Brett, loving Brett.

Everyone jumped for joy as Tom Brady, leader of the evil Patriots fell to the ground writhing in agony.

MIllions cheered on the rookie quarterback, Matt Ryan, coming out to throw a 65-yard touchdown on his first throw.

Yes, the football season had begun.
