Great story. Shades of The Twilight Zone. I hope you’re old enough to remember that series.

Very cool, though dark depiction of the passersby. Sadly, probably pretty accurate. Nice job on the suspense, and I liked the twist that the boss is apparently unaware of his shadow’s power.

I find it interesting that different commentors view the actions of the nameless boss in different lights. M. Elsha Hawk seems to think that the boss controls his shadow and stopped its attack. M. THX 0477 the opposite.

Which could it be?

Love the title, and that’s one heck of a last sentence. Can’t wait to see where it will go next.
