Last kiss
We stood upon the pavement. There was a slight drizzle. She had a pink umbrella which we shared waiting for an empty auto to pass by. After 5 minutes and no one saying another word we got an empty auto for her.
With an ache in my heart and a tear in my eye I watched her go away.
I turned away towards home. I turned to have a last look, atleast at the auto, when I saw her get down from the auto and come running towards me.
“Sonnyâ?, she said looking up boring into eyes, “will you give me a parting gift? I am note sure we will ever meet again. Not in this life.â?
I never replied. I just kept looking at her.
She planted a kiss on my lips.
And then she walked away.
