Fa, A Long, Long Way To Run
Who said running away from your problems wan’t a good way to handle them? It worked just fine for me. In fact, it was the best thing I could have done.
I ran out my sorrow, pity, and anger, leaving a fresh hope. I knew I had to get on with my life, and that was exactly what I was going to do. After kicking a few pebbles around, I realized I had enough will power in me to just forget the entire thing.
In a matter of days, things were back to normal. I was surrounded by vaguely familiar faces and boring conversations, except for the occasional unstoppable laughter. I was content. I had my life exactly where I wanted it, well, almost.
I started paying more attention to my surroundings and realized how much a person misses when they’re preoccupied with their own thoughts. I was more alert, never letting my mind wander, but I still don’t know how I never expected to… I didn’t see it coming until it was too late.
