Awesome return to ficlets after a bit of a break. Lovely description of ‘the quickening’, as it’s called, as well. Pregnant women can be an inclusive bunch but also a somewhat catty and competitive one as well.

Amazing job capturing the emotion of the moment, and contrasting 2 opposing views on pregnancy.

It really makes you feel for the narrator: happy that she’s finally preggers, and upset that someone else is just taking it for granted and is mean as heck to boot.

I also feel for the receptionist, but I’ve been there before.
