Her Underlying Thoughts
She decided to take her time in the shower. She always did. It was the only somewhat safe place she had, if even that.
After about 30 min, she got out and wrapped a towel around her. She put on a pair of black sophee shorts, and her favorite red tee shirt that was so warm and comfy. She could feel the hot steamy air rush out as she opened the bathroom door.
Taylor was fast asleep on the bed.
“Must’ve fallen asleep watching TV,” Anna said to herself as she turned the it off.
She picked him up and put him in his proper place on the bed and tucked him in.
“I love you Taylor Lee,” she kissed his head.
Usually, she would go blow dry her hair, but she left her brown curls wet as she stepped outside on the balcony. She took a deep breath of the night air, and closed her eyes. She imagined Jack being next to her. She remembered the first time he’d ever held her hand, and it almost killed her to think that her hand had been empty for three months.
Jack must have gone to jail, and it’s all my fault
