A minute passes by.
I throw the covers off me and crawl out of bed. The springs groan, I slip on my house coat and walk to the doorway. Out of the courner of my eyes, I see that odd picture and stifle a shudder. I turn around and cry out in shock. Sherry stands in the doorway, her grey eyes staring blankly at me.
“May you need something dear?”
“N. . .no,” I stammer and brush back a stray strand of hair.
“Are you sure Miss Faunset? We serve breakfast down in the wreck hall,” Sherry’s mouth barely moves, yet the words are clear.
“I’m fine really, I just need to stretch my legs for-”
“I belive you’ve been mistaken Miss Faunset, wandering is not acceptable in this house. If you need walk, then join me down at the wreck hall,” I stare into Sherry’s grey eyes and fill a shiver go up my spine. I nod and bow my head as she leads me down the silent halls.
