Residing Dreams (Chapter 65)

My dad and I had talked about the matter many times after that. While he wasn’t forceful and telling me that I had no say at all, I knew that he wanted me to go stay with his friend for a summer. I had wished I could’ve stayed with the Jenkins family or with some of our own family members(which I really didn’t see all that often) or even with McKenna(even though I didn’t get the BFF vibes from her anymore)or at least one of my father’s friends that I actually knew about. But apparently, those were not options. I knew there was something that my father wasn’t telling me, for there was always a part of him that he hide from me. However, the one thing I knew then and still know now was that he would never put me in harm’s way, no matter what. In fact, I lived a very sheltered life in the town of Pleasantville. Everything was clean, and the houses were all immaculately grandiose in my opinion. There was no crime, no gangs, no drugs, no violence, or anything of that sort. But I bet my father was the only gay man.
