“Ewwww!” Lisi cried, droping her tray on the table.
“It’s pizza day, isn’t it?” Maddi asked, while checking her reflection on her phone, the LG shine.
“Worse. Nachos!”
Then Jay came bouncing to the table.
“Yum! It’s nacho day!”
“Ewwww, you’re seriously going to eat that?” Lisi made a face.
“Yea! Look at how good the cheese looks!”
“Well, if I were you I wouldn’t be-”
“Guys! I snapped. Quit bickering! We need to talk!”
Everyone quickly looked at me.
“Did you hear about Jasmine?”
Everyone leaned in. Jasmine was our arch enemy. She was the other most popular girl in our school. Not as popular as us of course, but still, we had competition.
“Ewmigawd, I think I know! Is it about her and Eric?”
I nodded. Sadness flowed throughout me, but I stayed calm. Even though I have liked Eric for years, I wasn’t about to breakdown.
“Are you Ok?” Everyone asked.
Jay started to brush my hair.
Lisi gave me a massage.
Maddi gave me her brownie.
I wondered what I would do without my friends.
