Gust of Wind
Walking, after school through the old, humid, halls of the ancient building. A shade of grey wallowing around the roof. The hum of cars passing. A voice from the distance I recognize.
My heart beats faster, I feel my cheek’s reddening, a smile coming over my face, dimples extended.
Thats when it happened..
A gust of wind came from what felt like nowhere, catching me by surprise. That moment felt like it lasted forever.
A piece of grass passed the path of my eyes, sand washed into my face. Causing me to momentarely loose sight and focus. My hair wound up all over my face . .
“Hmmm Violets . . ” I heard his voice say.
I felt a sudden shock. I was wearing violets. I quickly evaluated myself. . .my hair felt fine, I hadn’t dropped my bag or any iteams inside.
He looked concerned-was it because I didnt answer?
” You cought me by surprise. . . “
“You can start by saying ‘you noticed?’” my face went blank. How do you respond to that? He put a smirk on. “How about I walk you to class?”
